Free QR Code Generator for Assembly Instructions
Paste a link to your assembly video. Get a print-ready QR code and a "Stuck? Scan to watch" card for the box.
Sample code shown until you add your link. Print this code at 2.0 cm wide or larger, at 300 DPI or better. It's a static code, so it never expires and needs no subscription.
How It Works
Three simple steps
Paste your link
Use any assembly video or help center link. Add your color and logo if you like.
Design the card
Pick business card, A6 or square sticker, then edit the headline, product name and languages.
Download print files
Get the code as PNG, SVG or EPS, and the card as a PDF your print shop can use.

How to add a QR code to your assembly instructions
Most assembly problems happen at one or two confusing steps. A customer who is stuck rarely goes back to the website to look for help. They contact support, leave a bad review, or send the product back. A QR code in the box puts your assembly video in front of them at the moment they need it.
Where to put the code. The best spot is somewhere the customer sees before they start: on the first page of the manual, on a card on top of the parts, or on a sticker on the hardware bag. A second code on the outside of the box can help too, as long as it survives shipping.
Pick the right size. Print the code at least 2 cm wide, and leave the white border around it clear. That border is called the quiet zone, and scanners need it to find the code. Longer links make denser codes, and denser codes need more room. This tool works out the minimum size for your link and tells you if your card is too small.
Keep it dark on light. A dark code on a white background scans best. Brand colors are fine if they are dark enough, and the tool warns you when a color is too light. If you add a logo, the code automatically switches to its highest error correction level, so it still scans with the center covered.
Static codes don't expire. This generator makes static codes: your link is stored in the printed pattern itself, with no redirect in between. They work for as long as your link works, with no subscription to keep paying. The tradeoff is that you can't change the link after printing, so use one you control, like a page on your own site.
Test before the print run. Print one card at actual size on a normal office printer, then scan it with both an iPhone and an Android phone. Do it in ordinary room light and at the distance someone would hold a box insert. A few minutes here can save a whole print run.
Sending it to the printer. The card PDF includes 3 mm of bleed and crop marks, and its colors are CMYK. Most print shops can use it as it is. If yours asks for a different format, send the EPS or SVG of the code and let them place it in their own template.
Why Use This Tool
Static codes that never expire
There's no redirect and no subscription. The code keeps working as long as your link does.
Made for print
Vector SVG and EPS, plus a card PDF with 3 mm bleed, crop marks and CMYK colors.
Warnings before you print
The tool flags colors that are too light and links too dense for the card you picked.
Three ready-made card sizes
Business card, A6 and a 50 mm square sticker, all with a headline written for stuck customers.

No. These are static codes, so your link is stored in the printed pattern. The code works for as long as the link does.
Keep it at least 2 cm wide at 300 DPI or better. Long links make denser codes that need more room, and the tool shows the minimum for yours.
Yes. The logo goes in the center of the code, and the code switches to its highest error correction level so it still scans. EPS files contain the code without the logo.
Not with a static code, because there's no redirect to count scans. To track them, point the code at a page on your site that has analytics.
Link to a short assembly video, ideally on a page you control so you can update it without reprinting. If you don't have a video yet, Vidocu can make one from your PDF manual.
