AI Recorder / Beta

The AI screen recorder that does the clicking

Describe the flow you want recorded. The agent opens a real browser, performs the steps itself, and hands back a polished video, step screenshots, and a written article. You do not touch the mouse.

How It Works

1

Describe the flow in plain language

Write the goal the way you would brief a teammate. For example: show how to create a discount code, open the Coupons tab, set 20% off, save, and end on the coupons list.

2

The agent signs in and performs the steps

Give it credentials for the account you want recorded. It navigates your product in a real browser. If the login asks for a one-time passcode, it pauses and asks you for the code, then carries on.

3

The edit is built from what actually happened

Because the agent performed every click, it knows exactly which element it clicked and when. Zooms and spotlights are placed from that record rather than guessed from the footage afterwards.

4

Get a video, screenshots, and an article

One run returns the finished recording, a screenshot for each step, and a written walkthrough you can publish or edit further in Studio.

Key Capabilities

It performs the workflow, you do not

Most tools labelled an AI screen recorder still make you click through the flow and only apply AI afterwards. Here the agent does the clicking, typing, and scrolling itself.

Zoom that lands on the right control

The agent records the position of each element at the instant it clicks it. Zooms and click spotlights are placed from that data, not inferred from cursor movement after the fact.

Gets through two-factor logins

When a login sends a one-time passcode, the agent pauses mid-recording and asks you for it. Your password is not stored, so a retry prompts you again.

Desktop or mobile viewport

Record the mobile experience when it differs from the desktop one, without a second setup.

Video, screenshots, and an article from one run

The written walkthrough and step screenshots come out of the same run as the video, so the documentation is never a separate project.

It tells you when it cannot finish

If a flow is blocked by a paywall, a missing permission, or a screen that does not exist, the agent stops and explains why instead of returning a confident but wrong recording.

Reusable sessions and retries

Save a session and run it again when the interface changes, rather than rewriting the brief from scratch.

Bring your own files

Attach files the flow needs, such as a document to upload partway through the steps.

Who It's For

Documentation and support teams

Produce the how-to article and the video from one brief, instead of recording a walkthrough and then writing it up separately.

Teams whose UI changes every sprint

Re-running a saved session is cheaper than re-recording by hand, so the library stops drifting out of date.

Customer education and onboarding

Cover the long tail of flows nobody has time to record, including the ones only a handful of customers ask about.

Product and engineering teams

Capture a flow behind a login for a release note or a bug report without pulling someone away to screen record it.

Frequently Asked Questions

It is a screen recorder where an AI agent performs the workflow instead of you. You describe the task, the agent opens a browser, carries out the steps, and records itself doing them. This is different from most tools marketed as an AI screen recorder, where a person still does the clicking and the AI only cleans up the result afterwards.

Ordinary AI screen recorders help after the recording exists: they remove filler words, add captions, or guess where to zoom. Vidocu's AI Recorder produces the recording in the first place. Because the agent performs each click, it knows which element was clicked and when, so zooms and highlights are placed from that record rather than estimated from the video.

Yes, if the flow you want recorded sits behind a login. You provide credentials for the account you want recorded, and optionally the login page URL. The password is not stored, so running the same recording again asks you for it. Point it at an account whose data you are comfortable having on screen.

Vidocu's can. When the login asks for a one-time passcode or a 2FA code, the agent pauses the run and prompts you for the value, then continues recording. Two-factor prompts are the most common reason an otherwise unattended agent stops short of the flow you wanted documented.

A finished video, a screenshot for each step, and a written article describing the workflow. Everything lands in your workspace, and you can open the recording in Studio to edit the script, voiceover, zooms, or highlights before publishing.

It stops on purpose and tells you why. Common reasons are a paywall, a permission the account does not have, or a screen that does not exist in the product. You get the reason rather than a recording that looks finished but shows the wrong thing.

You can try it on the free plan. Recording is metered in credits, at 50 credits per minute of finished video, so a longer flow costs more than a short one. See the pricing page for how many credits each plan includes.

Not yet. The AI Recorder is in beta, which means it is live and usable but still changing. Complex or unusual interfaces are where it is most likely to need a second run or a more specific brief.

Stop recording your own product

Describe the flow once and let the agent record it. Video, screenshots, and the written guide come back together.
